artist & intercessor

Equally at home in the Prayer Room and penning her own blend of pop/soul/worship songs, Steph ministers from a place of freedom, intimacy, and authority grounded in her identity as a beloved daughter of the Most High King.

Rooted in John 10:10 and 2 Corinthians 3:16-18, her particular message revolves around calling the lukewarm believer into the passionate, abundant, gloriously surrendered life Jesus always meant for those He loves. She’s quick to callout her own hypocrisy first, and uses her disarming vulnerability, knowledge of the Word, and colorful melodies to invite the listener to do the same.

story

on Christmas Day 2003, I was given my very first keyboard. I spent the next few years pouring over music theory books, teaching myself how to play piano & crafting my first (very bad) songs.

growing up, I was influenced by a wide variety of musical experiences including playing violin in pit orchestra, singing and dancing in musical theatre shows, listening to endless amounts of jazz and R&B, and composing for orchestra.

at the same time, I was a total math nerd, scoring 800 on the SAT & SAT II subject tests (my biggest flex haha), and geeking out over genetics & neuroscience. I came to college to study molecular biology thinking I’d work in a lab coat for the rest of my life.

Jesus, however, had other plans for me. although I had heard about Him from my friends, I never really knew Him. immediately, I sensed a call to music ministry, and never looked back. I’ve served at a number of different churches over the years, including National Community Church, Church of the City New York, and North Way Christian Community.

after overcoming some serious self-doubt and anxiety, I released my first single “Pilgrim” in September 2021. since then, I’ve had the joy of writing with so many others, learning more about the Lord in the process :)

my next project releases early 2024. can’t wait for you to hear it!

with joy,
Steph
